![]() PARANORMASIGHT is a simple VN at its core but there are a lot of additional gameplay mechanics that make you feel like you’re not just reading text but really solving a mystery. Even moving the camera-yes, you can maneuver a camera to examine an area-might lead to death if done while talking to someone. PARANORMASIGHT is chock full of various little actions the player needs to take in order to solve various puzzles and find alternative routes per story. You might need to alter in-game menus to avoid a cursed attack and there are times when trusting someone for an entire story could spell doom later. You might need to find an item and use it then discard it later unless you want to meet a grizzly fate. Like most VNs you’ll do a lot of reading-no voice overs here sadly-but there’s more to PARANORMASIGHT than just clicking one option of several to see where it leads. After you meet the very weird observer of sorts, you’ll soon learn that your main goal in PARANORMASIGHT is to guide these various souls to their proper fate and that is done in a very simple but intuitive VN formula. Each character has a big role to play in PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo and witnessing each story intertwine is just so exhilarating.Įarly on you’ll soon realize that you are kind of acting as an observer of these various people. ![]() However, as you play through her story in PARANORMASIGHT, you’ll see she might not be too choked up about having to kill other Curse Bearers. Take for example one Curse Bearer named Harue Shigima, her son was killed-we won’t say why-and it seems obvious why she’d want to kill to bring him back to life. From the titular main character Shogo Okiie-we say that because he really isn’t the main man-to the various other odd people you’ll meet, each has a uniqueness that many VNs and horror games lack. ![]() What we can say is we absolutely loved every second of every character/plot in PARANORMASIGHT. We would love to go further than that but let’s be real, you don’t want spoilers in PARANORMASIGHT, this is a VN that going in as blind as you can not only increase the narrative tension but equally make the horror that much scarier. Several individuals one night are given the title of Curse Bearers and each is given a power from the mysteries that they must use to kill each other for one gift, the Rite of Resurrection and the ability to resurrect the dead… These various tales seem straight from fiction but in reality, they are rooted in tragic tales of death, curses, and horror. You can watch a playthrough of the final chapter of Book of Shadows to see the lead up to Blood Drive however.PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo (PARANORMASIGHT) takes place in Honjo, a small city known for a long history of paranormal mysteries but specifically, The Seven Mysteries of Honjo. If you don’t really care to explore the altenate timeline, and trust me, the game spends a lot of time on the alternate timeline, you can skip most of Book of Shadows and 2U. It splits depending on the ending you get in the first game. The Main timeline and the alternate timeline with the game treating both as canon. Note: There are 2 different timelines in Corpse Party. Final game of the series so far and final game of the original story. Corpse party Call of duty: Black ops (1 and 2) Deadrising 2 The original Sonic.EXE game I do not own any licenses of any of the soundtracks used in the game nor any rights to use Sonic. RPG style like the first game.ĥ-Corpse Party Blood Drive. Seems to be loosely connected to the original. Most of the characters inteoduced here to be introduced in Blood Drive are done in a humorous and completely different way to how they were introduced in Blood Drive.Ĥ-Corpse Party 2 Dead Patient Chapter 1-Separate story from the original Corpse Party. I don’t necessarily recommend playing this before Blood Drive because tonally it is different to Blood Drive. It’s the Higurashi Kira of the series and basically the creators deciding to have some hilarious fun with the characters. This game is stupid in an absolute ridiculous way. Takes a point and click/visual novel approach which may not be for everyone but if you’re in it purely for the story and characters, play this next.ģ-Corpse Party 2U. Overall just a great game with great voice acting, characters and story.Ģ-Corpse Party Book of Shadows. Only play the one which has Repeated Fear at the end. I know you said you didn’t want to just play the same game with updated graphics but if you just want to go back and play the original.ġ-Corpse Party Blood Covered Repeated Fear. Corpse party Rebuilt is a the original corpse party updated with better graphics and has the introduction to Corpse Party Zero.
